Best Local Food Spots On Lake Lanier

Updated: Aug 7, 2021

We are excited to introduce you all to this amazing foodie couple who really knows their way around some of the best local restaurants near Lake Lanier! "Thrilled" is an understatement as to how we felt when they agreed to share some of their favorites with our readers. Check out their top picks below...

Hey friends, we are Zach and Kaia from @northmetroeateries on Instagram. We started this journey a little over a year ago because we are massive foodies and passionate about supporting small businesses. We really took off with promoting the places we love during the pandemic because restaurants struggled the most and continue to face new obstacles everyday as we try to move on.

Best Brunch: Diletto Bakery is a new discovery for us and just made the top of our list for Local Breakfast and Coffee. They have everything from fresh baked bread to fancy coffees, to fresh squeezed juices to delicious breakfast. Zach ordered the Steak Omelette and I had the Chilaquiles then we split the Strawberry Cheesecake. All of it was so delicious and affordable. The decor and vibes are immaculate and make it the perfect place to grab a bite to eat, hang with friends, or get work done alone.

Best Place to Watch Sports: Grab some wings and a beer at Wild Wings Café! With so many televisions and nightly events, there is always something to do. Even better they have really great happy hour deals from 4-7pm including $2.75 Well Drinks.

Best Place to Grab a Drink: Need a place to hang out with friends or grab a drink while waiting for your table? Downtown Drafts is the place to be! From their wide variety of beers on tap to their frozen mimosas, there is something for everyone. This is one of my favorite places to go and hang out on the weekends with Zach or with some of our friends. They also have a bunch of board game options to play while having a drink. Downtown Drafts allows leashed dogs and have been very responsible in their handling of the pandemic obstacles.

Best In Town Experience: Join Ralph “The Medicine Man” and Keith at Remedy Distillery. They offer free tours and tastings. We love all three of their Bourbon and Whiskey options. On weekends, Remedy offers music and food trucks for even more fun. Or you can walk next door for the Best BBQ in Gainesville from Inked Pig.

Best Place to Hang at the Lake: Pelican Pete’s has the best atmosphere anywhere on the water. It is so much fun to grab a rum bucket to sit and watch boats go by. The boat parking and gas dock make it very convenient when coming off the lake.

Wow! Thank you so much for these great suggestions Kaia + Zach! We will for sure check them out and hope that our guests at Lakeview Landing Lanier can as well during their next vacation at Lake Lanier! Cheers! - Lara + Bill
